Stir-Fry Pork Asparagus with Red Chili Paste

A very simple homemade asparagus stir-fry yet look sophisticated enough with a taste that do not disappoint. This stir-fry pork asparagus with red chili paste is tender yet crunchy and crisp, and coated with bold flavors – spicy and savory. I usually only need to pair this asparagus stir-fry with a bowl of fluffy steamed rice to make it my complete comfort meal. However, if you’d like, this honey lemon shrimp, soy sauce glazed pork, salt and pepper riblets, for example, can also be added to complete your feast. This stir-fry asparagus is very versatile that you can pretty much paired it with other Asian dishes.

Stir-Fry Pork Asparagus with Red Chili Paste

How simple is this stir-fry asparagus, you might wonder… Basically, in a nutshell, once you have all the ingredients ready, all you need to do is just heating up the oil in your sauté pan. Throw in the asparagus and pork, let it cook for a little bit. Then, add in all the sauces, give a stir, reduce the heat, and let it simmer. After that, voila, your delicious looking stir-fry asparagus with pork is ready to be served and enjoyed with your family. Sounds very simple, right?

Stir-Fry Pork Asparagus with Red Chili

Tools I used:

  • Sauté pan – Non-stick deep sauté pan for any kind of cooking needs that I really love to use. Evenly heated, easy cleaning and very durable.

Tip: If you like it spicy, you can add more Thai red chili paste. Any leftovers can be refrigerated in an air-tight container for up to 3 days.

Pork Asparagus stir-fry with Red Chili Paste
Ingredient:
  • 1 lb (10-15 spears) Asparagus – cut into 2 inches
  • 1 lb pork – sliced to match-stick shape
  • 2 cloves garlic – minced
  • 2 teaspoons Thai red chili paste
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • ½ tablespoon fish sauce
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Direction:
  • In a sauté pan, heat the olive oil under medium-high heat.
  • Once heated, add both asparagus and sliced pork. Stir occasionally and cook for about 3 minutes.
  • Add garlic, red chili paste, oyster sauce, fish sauce, water, a pinch of salt, and pepper. Give it a good stir. Reduce heat to low-medium heat.
  • Let it simmer for another 5 minutes or until most of the water gets evaporated.
  • Serve with fluffy steamed rice and enjoy while it is hot!
