Ham Cream Cheese Deviled Egg

Ham cream cheese deviled egg is one of my go-to-recipe for holiday appetizers or just for any occasions, including for my ‘munchies’ time. This classic dish is easy to make and will instantly be a hit for everyone.

Cream Cheese Deviled Egg with Ham

Using cream cheese, this ham cream cheese deviled egg has quite a creamy texture yet a bit juicy from the mushroom. So, it is a bit of an extra twist from your regular deviled egg. The added cream cheese, mushroom and ham bring some added level of great savory combination. It’s like deviled egg 2.0 version.

The stuffing leftover of the stuffing can be used to serve as a dip or stuffed mushroom. Oh, I forgot to mention that this deviled egg is also low carb. It’s a great appetizer for people who follow ketogenic diet.

Tip: Pour the stuffing mixture into a Ziploc. Seal it and cut one bottom corner. This way, it will be easy to stuff the mixture to the egg. For hard-boiled egg, boil the egg for about 8 mins.

Ham Cream Cheese Devil Egg

Ingredients:

  • 8 large hard-boiled eggs
  • 8 oz white mushroom
  • 3 slices deli ham
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pack (8 oz or 225 gr) cream cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic – minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne powder (optional)
  • Paprika powder (to sprinkle)

Directions:

  • Clean mushrooms and chop the mushroom finely.
  • Chop the deli ham finely as well.
  • Peel the hard-boiled egg and cut each egg into half. Separate the yolk from the white using spoon. Set aside.
  • Pre-heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a pan under medium heat. Add minced garlic, chopped ham and chopped mushroom to the pan. Fry until it is a bit brownish or about 2 minutes. Turn off the heat.
  • Add cream cheese, egg yolk, black pepper, cayenne powder and the garlic-ham-mushroom mixture into the mixing bowl. The heat from the mixture will softened the cream cheese so it will be easy to mix. The stuffing is ready.
  • Arrange the white eggs on serving dish. Then, fill each white egg with the stuffing. You can use spoon or a Ziploc* (see tip above)
  • Once it’s done, sprinkle it with paprika powder for an extra kick. Enjoy!
